Top engineering firms have just weeks left in which to apply for the 2008 Queen's Awards for Enterprise - the UK's highest business honour recognising business success
Applications for next year's Queen's Awards close on 31 October 2007: then the winners will be announced on 21 April 2008 The Awards recognise and reward outstanding achievement in International Trade, Innovation and Sustainable Development
Winners typically cover a vast range of business sectors, and range in size from tiny partnerships to giant multi-nationals.
Steve Brice, Secretary of The Queen's Awards Office, comments: "It costs nothing to enter The Queen's Awards, and every application is judged on its individual merits.
