New detector for volatile organic compounds
RAE Systems introduces the MiniRAE Lite photoionisation detector for volatile organic compounds.
The monitors can be used to quickly establish a safe area, providing loud and bright local alarms and allowing managers to monitor readings from up to 3km away.
The AreaRAE Responder communicates through the ProRAE Remote base station control software on a standard personal computer or laptop running the Windows XP operating system.
Each network can support up to eight AreaRAE Responders or compatible portable monitors.
The AreaRAE Responder supports up to five simultaneous gas sensors including oxygen, flammable gases and a photoionisation detector for volatile organic compounds (VOCs), as well as any two of the following toxic gas sensors: ammonia, carbon monoxide, chlorine, hydrogen cyanide, hydrogen sulphide, nitric oxide, phosphine and sulphur dioxide.
AreaRAE Responder is also available with the RAELink 2-E companion wireless gateway for other sensor products, such as ATEX certified MultiRAE Plus, ppbRAE Plus and MiniRAE 2000 handheld gas monitors.
Furthermore, it is available as part of the RAE Systems Rapid Deployment Kit, which delivers a complete system of four AreaRAE Responder monitors, a turn-key base station controller and all required accessories in easy-to-carry transport cases.
AreaRAE Responder is ideally suited to use in refineries and petrochemical plant, power plants, the pulp and paper industry, plant and mill turnarounds, marine and offshore wells and any other environment considered harsh or hazardous where emergency gas detection may be required.
