Multiple measurement ranges.
The new Marathon MM Series platform, which covers a temperature range of minus 40 to 3000C, consists of five infrared (IR) temperature sensor models, each with a specific measurement wavelength and temperature range appropriate for either low- (minus 40 to 800C), medium- (250 to 1100C), or high-temperature (300 to 3000C) production monitoring.
All sensors feature identical installation hardware and include Raytek DataTemp Multidrop software to enable easy and consistent installation, configuration and data capture across the full breadth of process monitoring applications.

Two target sighting techniques in one.
All of the sensors provide integrated through-the-lens sighting, plus either laser or video sighting for correct aiming and target location.
The superior optical resolution of up to 300:1 enables targets with a spot size as small as 0.6 mm to be measured accurately from a distance of 150 mm with a response time as fast as 2 msec.
Captures temperatures on video.
For greatly enhanced remote monitoring, the MM Series provides simultaneous real-time video recording, image capture and storage.
This unique optional feature enables engineers to continuously observe and record temperature variations in their process in order to take immediate corrective action.
The automatic image capture capability allows users to visually document exactly when temperatures fall outside of accepted parameters, and shows which products were affected.
Each rugged Marathon MM sensor features an IP65 sealed stainless steel housing to prevent contamination and damage during installation, set-up and use.
Standard analogue and digital outputs are included for simultaneous transmission of data and for triggering alarm and control signals.
Using the built-in RS485 interface, up to 32 sensors can be networked in a multi-drop configuration.
Remote monitoring, sensor control and data acquisition can be managed easily from a single PC using the Raytek software.
Broad range of applications.
Marathon MM sensors ensure a consistent manufacturing process and improve efficiency by allowing tighter tolerances that reduce variation and heating costs.
Ideal applications include continuous remote temperature monitoring in steel and metals processing (foundry/forging operations and heat treating); glass bending, forming, tempering, annealing, and sealing; paper processing (ink drying/curing and lamination); plastics processing and thermoforming; and semiconductor processing.
