Spherical tanks for liquefied
hydrocarbon storage
JSC Uralkhimmash in the Urals has won the contract for the supply of three 600 cubic metre spherical tanks to JSC Kazannefteorgsintez: the total weight of the equipment will be 440 tonnes
JSC Uralkhimmash won the tender for the supply of spherical tanks Under the terms of the tender, JSC Uralkhimmash shall supply JSC Kazannefteorgsintez with three spherical tanks (each tank has wall thickness of 30 mm and volume of 600 cubic metres)
The total weight of the equipment will be 440 tons.
JSC Uralkhimmash and JSC Kazannefteorgsintez are long-term partners.
This year, the Ural-based company has already executed an order for Kazannefteorgsintez - they fabricated two compressor coolers.
The spherical tanks are intended for pressure storage of liquefied hydrocarbon gases and liquid chemicals.
They feature high strength and are planned to sustain an earthquake measured at 9.0 on the Richter scale.
The basic structural materials are non-corrodible carbon steel.
