Way back then it was very difficult to locate sites in our discipline.
When a search was instigated for instrumentation every conceivable object from the piccolo to the tuba were thrown up on the screen.
So by dint of diligent searching we managed to accumulate a number of useful reference sites, which over the years have grown into the website you now see.
We have also been honoured to receive a number of awards.
The site arose because of the difficulty in finding resources in the areas of instrumentation, systems, automation, measurement, control and industrial communications.
What was first set up as a simple collection of bookmarks gradually built up to a quite sizeable collection of links gathered under a variety of headings.
Read-Out have adopted a policy of lowest common denominator as regards presentation.
Images are kept to a minimum and are not essential to the using of the site.
In other words the information is available even if the image loading facility is switched off.
Now the site is the main Irish source of news and events in the Irish C and I market, and leads the way for other website portals.
News stories are added every day, from around the World, to keep engineers updated.
The news pages can be scrolled to see the previous announcements.
Please consult the site, use the news alerts, and benefit from the information source.
Read-Out and the Read-Out.net website are published by Eoin O'Riain, and read around the World.
