After a severe chill the Irish Economy has by and large recovered and her citizens are hailing the resurgent Celtic Tiger in the last few months: the latest issue of Read-out proclaims "Booming Times"

After a severe chill the Irish Economy has by and large recovered and her citizens are hailing the resurgent Celtic Tiger in the last few months The headline in the August/September issue of Read-out, just published, boldly proclaims "Booming times", and is a report on comments by Don Wiencek, of B and B, whose EMEA headquarters is in Galway

Speaking about the US he says "A lot of people are complaining that sales are slow, that Bush messed everything up, and that the breadlines are getting longer - but we sure aren't seeing it here!".

The Pro-Com portable thermometers from Eurolec also receive front-page treatment headlined as "Cool" thermometers because of the experience as thermometers used on the Poletrack expidition in the Arctic.

In the Inside Front article Gerold Klotz-Engmann studies "Functional safety in process instrumentation for risk reduction".

Among other highlights are a preview of the November Conference of ISA Ireland entitled "Practical Application of New Technologies in Today's Industry," new products, company announcements, new literature and websites, jobs and people.

Read-out is published every two months and is distributed to selected named personnel in the industry throughout Ireland.

A nominal subscription is levied on subscribers outside of Ireland.
