The third issue of Read-out for 2007 leads with the story of the first Irish instrument company to be awarded the license to operate as a UKAS accredited calibration company

Classic Technology MD Bill Kinsella states this to be a "monumental achievement" for the company and to meet this challenge they created a purpose built test laboratory Also featured is an account of the Paperless Plant day in Cork already featured on the Read-out website

There is also news of the first Pharmatex - the international conference and learning programme for the development of the pharma and bio-industries, so present on the Irish industrial landscape today.

They have secured Charles Leadbetter, whom Tony Blair, former British PM has described as one of the most innovative thinkers in today's world, to give one of the keynote addresses.

Another innovative item is the report of the publishing of "PLC Programming for Industrial Automation", written by Kevin Collins of Sligo IT, in two editions, one in English and the other in French.

All the usual features are in this issue, new products, events, including the by now traditionally pictorial report on the ISA Ireland Exhibition in May, training and education, people, appointments and company news.

Read-out is published every two months and the next issue is due out at the end of August.
