"Have you stopped learning?" is the provocative question posed on the first page of Read-out in the latest issue, because the technology behind pharma and biopharma plants continues to develop

"Have you stopped learning?" is the provocative question posed on the first page of Read-out, in the latest issue The question is put to automation professionals in the pharma and biopharma sectors

The reason to ask is because of the Pharmatex Conference and Exhibition scheduled for the second week of September in Cork, the Pharma capital of Ireland!.

Of particular interest to these readers will be four of the conference topics:.

* Wireless Automation in (Bio)Pharma Plants.

* New Engineering Demands of (Bio) Pharma Applications.

* Process Analytical Technology (PAT).

* Up -skilling in Cleanrooms .

Indeed Read-out is behind this conference, and has organised the Wireless segment (track), which occurs on 12th September.

A listing of this track, with speaker details is given in the current issue of Read-out magazine.

Also in this issue is an excellent article by David Spitzer of Spitzer and Boyes, on 'Contact' level measurement system performance: this is extracted from "The Consumer Guide to Non Contact Level Gauges" published by Copperhill and Pointer.

Level is a theme throughout and quite a number of new and old level measuring products are featured this month.

Other events besides Pharmatex are highlighted too, such as the ISA EXPO in Houston; the National Instruments roadshows; and a report on the Profibus International conference in Coventry.

Applications and the ever popular People and Appointments section continue in this issue.

Copies of Read-out may be requested by email.
