Submersible short-stroke displacement transducers

A RDP Electronics product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Apr 10, 2003

Answering the demand for a truly submersible transducer which measures small displacement variations, RDP Electronics has launched the short-stroke DCW range of LVDTs

This new group of sensors has been designed for displacement measurement ranges of between +/- 2.5mm to +/-10mm with the capability of operating at pressures up to 10 bar.

Alternative electrical connection options are available to extend the DCW pressure handling capability to 206 bar.

The new DCW transducers are ideal for a broad range of wet, hazardous conditions such as paper making, valve and sluice position applications, structure monitoring and underwater cable laying.

The new transducers join the established DCW series of submersible LVDTs.

All feature a welded stainless steel construction and offer either a sprung or unguided shaft and dc-dc operation.

Long stroke versions are available up to a maximum of +/-150mm.
