New from RDP Electronics is the low profile DR7AC carrier amplifier, designed to provide excitation and signal amplification for LVDTs and other inductive transducers.

The DR7AC is compactly packaged for DIN rail mounting, which will prove of benefit to systems integrators and machine builders.

Derived from the established heritage of the successful RDP S7AC series, the new amplifier significantly reduces system engineering and earth loop problems thanks to full isolation between the DC supply side (9 to 36 V) and the amplified output.

Offering transducer excitation options of 1 or 3 volts RMS, at either 3 kHz or 5 kHz carrier signal excitation, there is a choice of a full range output of either +/-10 V or 4-20 mA from switched selectable input signal levels ranging from 20 mV to 4 V RMS.

The DR7AC amplifier enjoys excellent thermal stability, with a dynamic response which is flat from static to 250 Hz, offers low noise levels and is fully compliant with all relevant electrical and EMC standards and regulations.

As with all RDP products it comes with full instructions and is backed by the highly regarded RDP engineering hotline support service.
