All round winner for level detection

A Rechner Sensors product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Jun 7, 2007

The Rechner 26 Series Capacitive filling level detection sensor was initially designed for the detection of very adhesive products, and is insensitive to sensor coating build-up

The non-stick characteristic of the PTFE housing is enhanced with the round tip of the sensor.

Shortly after the launch the sensor design was enhanced to "High Performance" (HP) now a standard for Rechner Sensors.

HP sensors involve a change in the electronics and modifications to the electrodes, but the result is a significant improvement in performance.

Typically performance improvements include up to 3 times the norm sensing distance, stability up to 100C and a sensing distance that is medium optimised meaning that with one adjustment it is possible to detect a large variety of products.

With the 26 Series the electrode modification includes the use of a semicircular electrode.

A combination of the optimal electrode form along with the high performance circuit ensures that this sensor is no common sensor.

The sensor has the ability to sense low dielectric materials with complete reliability virtually ignoring any product build up that may occur.

This makes the sensor the perfect replacement in many cases for tuning forks or other vibrating sensors.

There is no special orientation required.

The sensors within the 26 series are suitable for the level control of most different products.

With a high grade PTFE housing, they are used in the semiconductor industry, chemical industry, and food processing and pharmaceutical to name but a few.

Different process fittings are available like 1", M22, Tri-clamp, with F30 fittings and with modified body sizes for plastic tube fitting systems.

There are models for 10 - 35 V DC and 20-250 V AC/DC.

This range is completed by models with ATEX certificates for use in areas with danger of explosion, dust zone 20 or gas zone 1.

Versions for 100C are capable of CIP up to 121C for the cleaning or sterilisation of the parts that are in contact with the products.

A sensor with a rounded tip that gives an incredible all round performance.
