With the food and drink markets specifically in mind, RexPlus has seamless easy-to-clean rollers and special factory-applied USDH-1 compliant lubricant that permits direct contact with food.
RexPlus is suitable for applications with running speeds up to 1.5 m/sec, even under extreme load, in temperatures from -40 to +400C, including water and steam.
It has up to 70% higher fatigue strength and 100% better wear values over competitive alternatives than the previous generation of Rexnord chains, plus a much better than average breaking strength.
Further, laboratory salt spray tests (DIN 50 021 SS) showed that RexPlus offered superior corrosion resistance to other brands of stainless steel chain.
Link plates are manufactured from a patented ferritic/martensitic stainless steel whilst the bush material is high-strength austenitic steel.
Pins are through hardened and passivated to optimise wear and corrosion resistance.
Manufacturing processes include, high-preloading to minimise initial elongation and ball drifting together with seamless rollers to ensure smooth articulation and enhanced hygiene characteristics.
The durability qualities of the steel also enable RexPlus to withstand heavy sliding and friction enhancing the chain longevity.
