Riggs help make serious desserts
After rigorous tests, Serious Desserts chose Riggs Autopack , to supply depositors for the manufacture of its Chilled Desserts brand range
Serious Desserts at Llantrisant, Mid-Glamorgan set up just over a year ago as part of the Serious Food Group and has already secured orders with major retailers who pride themselves in offering quality, well presented products The 10 single head depositors for work on and off line have each been allied to low level hoppers for ease of product loading, an essential pre-requisite for the depositing of fresh cream premium desserts, many of which are in stylish glass beakers or ceramic dishes

Serious Desserts engineering manager Ian Stuart explained: ''We went through a period of rigorous testing, comparing Riggs product against others from rival manufacturers and Riggs came out on top''.
Mr Stuart already had experience of the quality Riggs provide from working with its machines before taking up his present post.
''That experience, coupled with the test outcome, the right price and the fact that we could have a quick delivery, proved to us that we only really had one choice''.
Riggs offers a range of depositors from simple, stand-alone or table-top models to fully automated, PLC controlled multi-head conveyorised filling lines and these are complemented by a full range of depositing nozzles and decorating heads for cream or fillings.
The nozzles give drip-free cut-off and Riggs has both the experience and the expertise to ensure all the customers individual requirements are met.
All the depositors at Serious Desserts are performing well.
''They are outstanding,'' said Mr Stuart: ''They work well and are very easy to maintain and clean.
We get weight control, providing deposits within set tolerances.
The depositors are totally pneumatic and give us the environmental conditions we need for wet working.
We have not had any problems at all.
Riggs have been great, with an excellent level of after-care, with backup service being both prompt and professional.
Our operators have had no trouble whatsoever, with help from Riggs, who set out clear instructions for them to follow.
I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone else needing reliable depositing equipment".
