PMC additions to front panel range

A Rittal product story

Rittal introduce two alternative PMC front panels made from extruded Aluminium or a Zinc die-casting, to combat difficulties encountered by system designers using a PCI Mezzanine Card to add memory

Rittal have introduced two alternative PMC front panels made from extruded Aluminium or a Zinc die-casting, to combat difficulties encountered by system designers using a PCI Mezzanine Card, (or PMC) to add features or memory to VME and CompactPCI plug-in cards.

Both panels (often referred to as Bezels) utilise a proprietary shallow square groove around their periphery to retain an EMC gasket.

Two gasket styles are offered, carbon impregnated elastomer or stainless steel garter spring.

These panels or Bezels, can be provided with cut-outs, printing or engraving to customer specification thus saving process time as well as reducing cost as a single order covers multiple operations.

To complete the PMC package, Rittal offer a passivated stainless steel blanking plate to cover unused openings in carrier board front panels and maintain electromagnetic compatibility.
