Rockwell Automation's popular range of Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 700 AC drives has been extended to 690V - ideal for high-power applications requiring precise, reliable and cost effective motor control.

Now rated from 0.37kW to 132kW and 230 to 690V, the high performance drives are perfectly suited for the more demanding processes such as those in the paper and forestry industries, or when the amount of current needed by the drive needs to be reduced.

PowerFlex drives are typically smaller than other comparable products and can be configured for either volts-per-hertz, sensorless vector control or vector control with force technology.

Ideal for applications that require accurate open-loop speed regulation, the easy-to-use Allen-Bradley variable speed drives are designed to control three-phase induction motors in applications with requirements ranging from simple speed control to the most demanding torque control - including fans, pumps, conveyors, mixers, crushers, centrifuges, stamping presses and extruders.

Pull apart control terminal blocks simplify installation, while zero stacking and side mounting options allow users to tightly pack drives inside a panel - the space saving design helping to improve heat dissipation and preventing damage to the equipment.

To simplify programming the PowerFlex 700 includes an LCD Human Interface Module (HIM) with multi-line and multi-lingual display for unrestricted access and control.

Its advanced networking capability simplifies integration into a process using Rockwell Automation's NetLinx communication options, including DeviceNet, ControlNet and EtherNet I/P networks.

Onboard PC software tools include DriveExplorer, DriveTools and RSLogix 5000 for easy programming, configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting.

By extending the PowerFlex range, Rockwell Automation has made the power and precision provided by Allen-Bradley drives available to new industries and applications.

The extension to the range provides increased flexibility with all the benefits of advanced programming, accessories and configuration.
