Rockwell Automation introduces RepairPlus, a high quality yet cost-effective single source solution for all electrical and mechanical repairs.
Ideal for today's lean manufacturers who wish to improve utilisation of in-house resources, RepairPlus can significantly reduce the time and cost absorbed in parts management.
A key part of Rockwell Automation's comprehensive Asset Management services, RepairPlus ensures repairs are carried out to the same exacting standards across a customer's entire installed based, irrespective of the original manufacturer.
By using the expertise and indepth knowledge of the technicians at Rockwell Automation's Repair Centre in Crewe, manufacturers can enjoy the benefits of a one stop shop for all repairs, including simplified procurement, improved quality control and increased plant uptime.
The ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 approved Repair Centre offers the same outstanding quality and fast response manufacturers have come to expect for repairs to Rockwell Automation products on a wide variety of other brands of industrial electrical, mechanical and servo products.
All equipment sent for repair is completely remanufactured or repaired, with any components likely to degrade in future replaced to improve reliability.
Allen-Bradley products are also upgraded with the latest firmware.
When products are obsolete or beyond repair, the latest compatible Allen-Bradley equivalent is recommended as a replacement.
The introduction of RepairPlus completes Rockwell Automation's Asset Management offering, which provides any industrial automation user with a single, complete MRO (Maintenance and Repair Operations) solution.
"With over 100 years experience working with manufacturing industry, Rockwell Automation is able to offer much more than just a parts management service," says Gary Mitchell, Rockwell Automation's Asset Management manager.
"Rockwell Automation is flexible and easy to work with, enabling our Asset Management consultants to identify the key issues facing each customer and develop a custom solution".
The full range of services, which can now cover third party as well as Rockwell Automation products, includes.
* Evaluation of installed systems to develop strategies for parts management, maintenance and migration of obsolete products to the latest technologies.
* Condition monitoring techniques spanning remote vibration data collection and analysis, thermography and oil analysis.
* Single source procurement on the full electrical and mechanical parts basket to reduce transaction costs.
"All our Asset Management services are geared to reducing total cost of ownership by cutting maintenance costs, minimising unplanned downtime and shrinking spare parts inventory," says Mitchell.
"Most of our services require little upfront investment and all offer very quick returns.".
