Platon variable area glass tube flowmeters from Roxspur Measurement and Control are the established standard for versatile visual laboratory, test and pilot plant flowmeters.

With several frame fittings and different float and tube combinations, these flowmeters cover typically a 10:1 flow range, with flow scales covering water flows from 2-25cm3/min up to 0.4 to 4.4 L/min, and air flows from 5-100 cm3/min up to 30-150 L/min.

Standard scales are 100mm nominal length, and cover air and water flows: tubes can be provided ex-stock for flows of other gases and liquids.

For other gas flow process conditions, ie different to atmospheric standard conditions, or for special UKAS calibration requirements, custom calibrations can be provided at an economical cost.

For many years the Platon G Series frame has been the industry standard, with in-line or rear process flow connections, with a built-in flow control valve option.

Now the new NGX frame presents a modern, high integrity engineered unit that still takes the standard Platon borosilicate glass flow tube.

This frame provides surface panel mounting, with process connections in either BSP or NPT threads, and has a reduced number of O-ring seals to potentially require attention and replacement.

The frame retains the rear facing safety vent that has been a long established feature of Platon glass tube meters.

Should there be a glass tube failure under pressure surge or impact, then the safety vent provides a rear facing discharge route, away from the operator, for all process gases and liquids.

The operator views the whole NGX Series flowtube, protected by the polycarbonate front safety cover.
