Since then the non-clogging flush mounted designs have been adopted for use throughout the food processing, beverage and pharmaceutical industries, particularly for use on slurries.
US based customers include International Paper, Eastman Kodak, Proctor and Gamble and Coca-Cola Bottling, amongst other similar companies.
The latest products from PMC include a Smart pressure, level and vacuum transmitter for slurries, liquids, and gases.
With rugged stainless steel housings the units are particularly suited to corrosive and acidic environments, providing sealed, submersible housings, which are also suited for hygienic applications.
Standard fitting uses a 2'' Tri-Clover connection.
The HART protocol allows easy access to the configuration, test, and detailed set-up of the transmitter, and the electronics can be remotely mounted away from the sensor for submerged or otherwise inaccessible sensor locations.
David Wickens, Sales Manager for Sensit pressure products at Roxspur, commented: "PMC has developed a particular range of flush diaphragm pressure transmitters, originally for the paper industry, but these have been expanded into other areas, providing pressure measurement in some very difficult industrial applications.
These products complement the Sensit range, which primarily use ceramic-faced sensors, and are frequently custom configured for embedding into machinery.
Roxspur Measurement and Control now present an overall capability for pressure measurement in any application.".
