The Katadyn "Survivor" Watermaker units are hand-operated desalinators that use reverse osmosis techniques to provide emergency fresh drinking water from sea water.
Typically included in the mandatory equipment lists of the major ocean races, these small units are also packed as standard equipment on the life-rafts for many of the UK and International military forces.
Whist use of such emergency equipment is the last thing a boat owner, adventurer or pilot wants to think about - when called into action, correct Watermaker performance can save lives.
Checking this performance, and replacing any worn components or seals, is an important part of the preparation needed before any adventure - and should be a part of a regular schedule of maintenance checks.
Roxspur Measurement and Control is a distributor for the Katadyn "Survivor" Watermaker range of equipment in the UK and Eire, and also provides the only Katadyn approved inspection, repair and service centre for this equipment.
With stock of the Katadyn membranes and seals, Roxspur provides a full UK based Watermaker inspection, cleaning and checking service, replacing any consumable or worn components as required.
Ensure the emergency equipment for your next venture has been checked and repaired as necessary, so that when an emergency drinking water supply is needed, the unit is serviceable.
