Flostat constant flow control valve
range extended
New models have been added to the Platon Flostat range, designed to achieve a lower installed cost, when delivering accurate gas flows against a variable downstream pressure
These units are ideal for maintaining gas flow at a pre-selected, set rate, when the gas flow has to be delivered into a buffer receiver tank Such accurate flow control is essential in several brewing industry applications, as well as when supplying a controlled gas atmosphere for weld shielding applications

Dual flow alarm and rate indicator is ultrasonic
Roxspur Measurement and Control have released a new solid state flow switch, the UQS7 - an adjustable dual flow alarm with an additional digital flow rate indicator
The latest Flostats from Platon offer connections of 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and 1 inch BSP as standard, with flow ranges adjusted using an integral control valve, covering air flow ranges of from 0.5 to 10 Litres/min (for a 14 bar supply), up to 250-5000 Litres/min for the largest model.
Body materials are either brass or aluminium alloy, with the control mechanism in stainless steel, brass and acetal resin, and nitrile seals.
Flow control is entirely mechanical and automatic, with a high speed of response and wide flow ranges for each model.
The control is based on an internal orifice plate, which requires a minimal pressure drop to maintain the flow control.
Control accuracy is 3%, with repeatability better than 1%.
Further information, order codes and price data are available in the current edition of the Platon Flowbits catalogue.
