Brearley has a history of monitoring furnaces and heat treatment systems, up to the latest AMS2750D specification requirements for the monitoring of aerospace component heat treatment facilities
The latest Roxspur Measurement and Control Newsletter traces the history of the Brearley involvement with furnaces and heat treatment monitoring systems, up to the latest AMS2750D specification requirements for the monitoring of aerospace component heat treatment facilities.
Brearley was founded in the early 1900s by Harry Brearley, the inventor of Stainless Steel.
The business is now the number 1 supplier to the UK Steel and Glass industries, for furnace and heat treatment temperature monitoring, and has developed further expertise in association with the Aerospace Heat Treatment sector.
Over the years the business has continued to develop its products and services and has now an unrivalled capability to satisfy these wider industry requirements.
As part of Roxspur Measurement and Control the Brearley brand is the largest manufacturer of industrial thermocouples and temperature probes in the UK.
With a wealth of experience our technical help desk can provide solutions through standard or custom designs and provide a full range of accessories and fast track delivery for urgent requirements.
We can satisfy all temperature measurement requirements.
Products range from industrial thermocouple types, mineral insulated and rare metal thermocouples and assemblies, to PT100/RTD and non-contact pyrometry covering the range -200C to +3000C.
Additionally we supply, configure, install and commission process controllers, displays, chart recorders and dataloggers.
Thermocouples calibrated and certified to meet the requirements of Table 1 of AMS2750D are available, as appropriate to a customer's specified usage.
Whatever the required usage Brearley has the perfect product to cover requirements for Secondary Standards, TUS (Temperature Uniformity Surveys), and SAT (System Accuracy Tests).
In addition we have considerable expertise in providing on site services.
By working in partnership with our customers we can assist in obtaining and maintaining NADCAP approval, and being UKAS accredited we understand the demands of meeting the requirements of the Aerospace Quality System AS7102, making Brearley the ideal business partner.
As an ISO 9001:2000 company, we offer UKAS and Traceable Calibration under BS/EN ISO 17025 accredited procedures.
We have four UKAS accredited laboratories that specialise in the calibration of: flow, pressure, temperature and electrical measurements, both on-site and at our laboratories.
With a team of highly skilled OEM trained Service Engineers we have the capability to meet all on-site calibration requirements from instrument calibration to full temperature uniformity surveys (TUS).
Certificates generated are designed to meet the requirements of AMS2750D with the option of UKAS certificates for added peace of mind.
