New Display and Wireless technology product ranges
RS Components, the leading distributor of electrical, electromechanical and industrial components, has introduced 2 new technologies, Display and Wireless, to its electronic product portfolio
The new catalogue design was driven by customer research, which identified ways to make the catalogue format easier to use.
RS has reduced the number of volumes in the Catalogue from six to four, plus the Master Index, to provide a more compact, easier to use format containing the complete RS product offer.
This was made possible by the restructuring of sections into more logical technology areas making products easier to find and presenting products in similar groups and ranges to make items easy to compare.
Additionally the pages have been redesigned for clearer visibility of product information, including attribute tables and clearer pricing, all of which improves the customer's ability to choose the right product.
Klaus Goeldenbot, RS UK General Manager said, "We know that the role we play in supplying British Industry with our 135,000 products is important, so for us to improve this process is a great achievement.
We are delighted that the significant investment we have made in our key asset has resulted in a new catalogue that is now much more helpful to customers than ever before.
We are also undertaking a major integrated launch campaign to tell all our customers of the improved experience they can have when choosing RS".
As a multi-channel business RS offers the customer flexible choices in ordering products from the catalogue, through on-line, phone, fax; or via the nation-wide RS Trade Counter network.
This coupled with an unrelenting commitment to service ensures the RS position as the UK's leading industrial distributor.
In summary, the new RS catalogue was developed to meet customer needs and provides the complete RS offer in a more logical and intuitive way, delivering a more compact and easy to use format that sets new standards for B2B catalogues.
