RS announces a programmable automation controller

RS Components announces the Modicon M340 Programmable Automation Controller from Schneider Electric, which combines power and compact design

The new Modicon M340 Programmable Automation Controller is the ideal solution for complex machine control and medium-sized infrastructure applications.

It is available immediately from the RS website.

Features of the M340 include internal RAM of up to 4096kB, programme constants and symbols up to 3584kB and data up to 256kB.

There is a USB for programming and HMI connectivity, and Ethernet TCP/IP.

The fact that it requires no battery back-up means there is extremely low maintenance, and robustness is ensured by CE, UL, CSA, ACA and GOST certification.

An ideal automation controller for the manufacturers of today, the M340 has multi-tasked processing capabilities, and supports all five of the IEC61131/3 programming languages, meaning it can handle the most demanding of applications.

Key advantages of the Modicon M340 are its reduced footprint, giving maximum space savings, and over 4MB of internal RAM, enabling greater memory flexibility coupled with high performance.
