The Deltec Alliance, which is led by INS, has been awarded a contract to design a new import and export facility at the Sellafield Box Encapsulation Plant Product Store (BEPPS)

The British Nuclear Group multi-disciplinary design contract for this new Comprehensive Import Export Facility (CIEF) is strategically important This is because it will enable the BEPPS to operate independently by September 2013, when it will play a vital role in supporting the storage of waste retrieved as part of the Legacy Ponds and Silos Project

In the future, the new CIEF will be capable of supporting three new stores.

Tony Moore, INS MD, commented: "This contract was won against stiff competition and required an innovative approach, owing to both the demanding technical criteria and the very short completion deadline of July of this year.

Once again, we are responsible for the co-ordination of a large multi-discipline, co-located team including British Nuclear Group personnel and Deltec members: DGP International, Alpha and Morson's".
