SABIC has launched the important new Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud International Prize for Scientific Research, which will be awarded every two years, in each of three categories

SABIC has launched the important new Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud International Prize for Scientific Research and launched the website at its global headquarters in Riyadh SABIC Chairman and Chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, Prince Saud Ibn Abdullah Ibn Thunayan Al-Saud said, "I welcome the opportunity for scholars and researchers from around the world to participate in this prize

"The prize will hopefully set out to strengthen international research and technological development, in areas which affect many aspects of peoples' lives and relevant production sectors".

He added, "Technological development is the passport to a successful future for us all".

The Prize Secretary General and SABIC Vice President for Research and Technology, Ibrahim Al-Shuweir said, "The Prize will be awarded every two years and is divided into three categories.

1) Environmental Protection and the Combat of Desertification.

2) Petrochemical, Metal and Plastic Industries.

3) Water and Agriculture Technologies.

"Winners from each category will be honoured in a ceremony presided over by Crown Prince Abdullah and receive 600,000 Saudi Riyals (USD160,000).".
