Enhanced mini CLIX Ex plug connectors
An updated and optimised version of the Stahl mini CLIX plug connector system lets users install, service or exchange all devices and systems during Zone 1 operation, without disconnection

Mini CLIX is designed to let users install, service or exchange all devices and systems during Zone 1 operation without disconnection and without procuring a special permit.
Even Exd field devices can be converted to plug and play versions.
As well as plastic and nickel-plated brass, mini CLIX is now available in the high-quality AISI 316L stainless steel demanded by users in the pharmaceutical and food industries.
Brass and stainless steel versions are available with the armoured cabling required in extreme applications such as offshore.
Another new innovation is a version suitable for installation in Exd housings with volumes exceeding two litres.
This is can be used in Zone 1 for explosion group IIC.
As the new mini CLIX Exd device plug and flange socket installation variants are now also available with an NPT thread as well as metric M20 thread, they are suitable for all applications at an international level.
Further additions to the mini CLIX plug connector system are due at the end of 2005.
These include a Y-adapter for looping through the data or power supply lines for use in fieldbus installations, a 6-pin version and a 6+PE-pin version.
