A refreshing range of safety posters, with a behavioural 'twist', have been made available for free download from Safety Bonus

Traditional safety posters usually inform people or attempt to scare them with statistics and gory images Finding an innovative way to actually capture attention means seeing things through the reader's eyes

"As a subject, 'safety' needs marketing and promotion just like any product; safety needs a brand, an image and a reputation.

It is easy to get people thinking and talking about safety but what you really need is action, and that's where our new posters can help", explains Marie Beer, Safety Bonus client manager.

"No matter how comfortable you are with safety everyone fears the day when things go too far, when safety begins to hinder rather than support.

We applied this sentiment to our posters, with statements such as 'To avoid burns all kettles will now be limited to 600 centigrade' and then asked people to consider how their involvement in safety could change things".

A good understanding of human psychology, some practical research and eye catching artwork have led to the creation of a vibrant and thought-provoking range of 10 posters.

The posters are free to download from the 'Free Tools' page on the Safety Bonus website, and may be reproduced at will.
