Dairymaster, a world leader in dairy equipment manufacturing, has purchased a new Sandretto Nove S 395 injection moulding machine for the production of components for the dairy equipment market

Sandretto UK supplies Dairymaster with moulding solutions Dairymaster, a world leader in dairy equipment manufacturing, headquartered in Causeway, Co Kerry, Ireland, has purchased a new Sandretto Nove S 395 injection moulding machine for the production of components for the dairy equipment market Dairymaster was founded in 1968 by managing director Ned Harty and now employs over 150 people on its 200,000 sq ft Irish site, as well as operating offices in the UK, USA and Australia

Dairymaster has a wide and innovative product range, including well known brands in the dairy equipment market such as the Swiftflo Revolver rotary parlour, Swiftflo Swing Over parlour, Weighall Milk Meter and other equipment such as automatic scrapers, automatic feeders and more.

The company produces over 95% of all components in-house at its Irish facility.

These milking parlour components can be custom made for individual requirements.

Over the past 12 months, the manufacturing facility has continued to expand and the firm's recent purchase of a Sandretto Nove S 395 moulding machine - together with the latest in computerized plasma cutting technology - is indicative of the continuing growth pattern.

Engineering on today's farm is an important issue.

Quality, performance and efficiency of facilities must all be optimized.

The task of milking more cows with more milk, more efficiently with less labour and less time is a new challenge that many dairy farmers have to overcome.

Dairymaster is therefore helping farmers meet this challenge by producing high quality milking solutions.

Dairymaster moulds componentry from a wide range of engineering plastics.

These are used for both food contact and structural applications.

Plastics used range from transparent nylon 12's to glass filled polyamides.

When Dairymaster considered buying a new injection moulding machine, they looked to the market place for what was on offer and after extensive research they choose the Sandretto Nove S 395 moulding machine.

According to Ned Harty, managing director, 'The investment by Dairymaster in our fifth Sandretto moulding machine illustrates our commitment to producing top quality milking solutions for our customers.

Our service to our customers operates 24 hrs a day 365 days a year, consequently when we looked for a mould machine we needed a similar commitment and Sandretto have certainly provided us with this over the years.' The injection moulding department in Dairymaster manufactures over 500 parts from 30 different rubbers and plastics.

Toolmaking is also completed in-house and tolerances on some moulds are as low as 0.01mm.

The addition of the new Sandretto Nove S 395 machine will increase production capacity at the Dairymaster plant.

With the recent instalment of the first ever 30-point Dairymaster Swiftflo Revolver in Japan, with the announcement of a new distributor in Korea and with parlour orders coming in from all over the world Ned Harty stresses that mould machines have to be reliable.

'You can't afford a breakdown when you manufacture to order like we do.

The machines performance and the Sandretto back up service from Rugby have certainly proved their worth to us.'.
