Stainless steel scales for hazardous
areas
The ATEX approval granted to the new Sartorius EC1XS series of stainless steel scales solves the problem of economic weighing in hazardous areas by providing a cost efficient solution
The ATEX approval permits use in zones 1 and 2 (gas) in gas group IIB and temperature class T4, as well as in zone 21 and 22 (dust) for dusts with an ignition temperature greater than 155C The new EC1XS scale from Sartorius consists of a stainless steel platform (IP67) and a stainless steel display and control unit with IP65-protected cable glands

The power supply and, if installed, interface converter or barrier and foot switch are all connected through cable glands.
Zener barriers or a universally configurable interface converter can optionally be installed in zone 2 or 22, to ensure compatibility with all product families.
RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, or TTY 20mA data interfaces and transmission speeds enable data transmission over various distances between scale and peripheral devices, hazardous and non-hazardous areas.
Therefore the EC1XS series of stainless steel scales present economical scales for reliable processing in hazardous areas, with a comprehensive range of accessories. Request a free brochure from Sartorius UK ...
