Simultaneous connections for air, fluids and power
Staubli, and sister company Multi-Contact, have developed a system for the simultaneous connection of air, cooling fluids and electrical circuits: it is called the CombiTac programme
Many items of modern process and maintenance equipment require connections for compressed air, cooling fluids, industrial vacuum as well as electrical circuits.
Bringing each of these connections into one, easy to use, system saves time and eliminates crossed connections.
The selection of dry break connectors prevents any loss of material or contamination on disconnection, alternatively un-valved full flow options are also available.
Staubli, with wide experience in the connection of fluids and gases, are in the unique position of being able to co-operate with electrical connection specialists, Multi-Contact (also part of the Staubli Group) to produce a new range of full function connectors designed specifically to provide a unified, compact assembly.
The CombiTac range provides a complete and specially tailored solution for each application.
The modules can accommodate 3 types of safety quick release fluid or air couplings from 3 to 8mm diameter and numerous electrical contacts, including 4-pole and 2-pole modules from 1 to 8mm dia.
Six different housings can be selected as appropriate for the type and number of connections included as well as the specific application.
A range of predefined fully complete units are available for standard compressed air applications.
The modular construction permits customisation to satisfy, precisely, the detailed connection requirements of any application.
Modules containing electrical contacts, cooling circuit sockets and plugs and pneumatic sockets and plugs can be selected and built into one CombiTac system.
The Staubli team of connection specialists are available to give advice on specific requirements.
Typical applications are cooling on press transfer lines and injection moulding machines as well as liquid cooled electronics such as power amplifiers and radar systems.
CombiTac provides a fast, reliable and safe system capable of handling all the connections required in a wide range of industrial applications.
Staubli is an international family owned group founded over 100 years ago in Switzerland employing 3500 world-wide.
The Couplings Division manufacturing facilities are located in France, Italy and Germany, with offices across Europe, North and South America and the Far East: the UK base is in Telford.
