The UK's premier packaging solutions company, Sirane, will be exhibiting its range of compostable and other packaging at the Sustainable Food Packaging conference organised at Chipping Campden

Pride of place will be taken by the Sirane Resolve compostable packaging which has already seen success in the meat packaging market and which is set to launch as a fully compostable pack later this year Says Simon Balderson: "The July 5/6 sustainable packaging conference in Chipping Campden is the perfect platform for our technology since the conference programme will outline and explain most of the issues to delegates - who will then have the opportunity to check out our products at first hand"

The two day programme will see issues of biodegradability and compostability discussed by experts, and will also feature input from retailers such as Marks and Spencer, waste companies such as Biffa and packaging suppliers such as Sirane, Innovia and Autobar.

Following three years of intensive development and a successful launch at the Pro2Pac Excel earlier this year, the Sirane Resolve compostable packaging has successfully come through its retail trials.

As well as being compostable, the Resolve material has been designed to significantly improve pack and shelf-life performance.

In the meat sector it succeeds in preventing early meat discolouration.

'The July 5/6 event will provide an expert and concentrated focus on issues in Sustainable Food Packaging,' says Balderson, 'and we hope to prove our Resolve packaging to a good selection of the food industry who will be present there'.

The Sustainable Food Packaging conference is organised by the Campden and Chorleywood Food Research Association, and will take place on July 5/6 at Chipping Campden.
