Sirane will unveil packaging innovations at Foodex 2010, taking place at the NEC, Birmingham, on 21-24 March.

Jeremy Haydn-Davies, sales director, food packaging, said: 'Foodex 2010 will catalyse our growing reputation in absorbent packaging for a variety of food markets - meat, fish, fruit, cook-in.

'Foodex 2010 will also see us spring some surprises in the form of some revolutionary packaging options for the market's needs - involving all-in-one solutions and some new options in film packaging; new technologies and materials,' he added.

Some new product areas showing at Foodex will include a complete range of fully compostable barrier and permeable films for meat and produce packaging.

Simon Balderson, founding director, said: 'Retailers, supermarkets and packer fillers are increasingly happy to accept integrated pack solutions.

'We hope to see very many of them at Foodex 2010, where we will demonstrate the new packs and the technology behind them.
