A Schroeder Industries product story

Schroeder Industries, a recognized leader in filtration and fluid conditioning products, announces the launch of its new division, SchroederBiofuels, offering biodiesel purification products

Schroeder has been chosen to be the exclusive US distributor of the most effective and efficient model of biodiesel purification products available today, from Filtertechnik, a UK company with extensive purification and filtration experience in the biodiesel market.

The purification systems work on a proven method of removing production residues and soaps from Fatty Acid Methyl Ester (FAME), which is derived from vegetable oil feedstock through its absorption in magnesium silicate compound.

The compound and the contaminants are completely removed without the inclusion of additional water.

This 100 percent effective "dry-wash" staged filtration process offers a number of benefits when compared to the traditional "wet-wash" process, including cost, time, space and quality.

Additionally, the Schroeder line of biofuel products employ purification units that are fitted with a laser particle counter to measure performance, as well as provide users with a continuous detailed analysis of the particulate contamination and moisture content of the biodiesel fuel.

In addition to viewing these results live, customers can also store them to document batch cleanliness.

This will be particularly helpful to producers who operate according to ASTM D-6751 - the highest of US biofuel standards.

Schroeder will showcase the new line of biofuel products in booth 425 at this year's EBW Expo and Conference, the first American international show on energy from biomass and waste, scheduled from 25-27 September in Pittsburgh.
