Often a single channel pressure data logger which can be easily moved around is a much more convenient and cost effective alternative, especially if it is also battery powered and intrinsically safe for use in hazardous environments where potentially explosive atmospheres are present.
When carrying out performance or leak testing, temperature data logging is essential since varying pressure levels maybe partly due to adiabatic changes and therefore temperature readings need to be recorded to compensate the pressure measurements and determine the true reading.
The Leo-Record Pressure Data Logger is a battery powered compact instrument which can store up to 57,000 readings of pressure and temperature in its non-volatile memory.
Pressure ranges from -1 bar up to 1000 bar gauge or absolute are covered by the Leo-Record pressure data recorder and unlike other data loggers it has a built-in LCD digital readout for displaying the real-time pressure level and the data logging running mode.
The stored temperature and pressure measurement readings can be downloaded from the Leo-Record via a USB or RS232 interface cable connected to a PC, laptop or PocketPC.
All configuration of logging intervals, start and end modes are carried out using the logger software which comes with the data communications kit.
For tests carried out in a potentially explosive atmosphere the Leo-Ei Record pressure logger should be specified which has ATEX certification for use in a hazardous area requiring intrinsic safety.
The Leo-Record pressure and temperature data logger is powered by a SL-760 Lithium battery which lasts up to 5 years if 1 reading is recorded every 10 seconds or 2 years if 1 reading is recorded every second.
The compact housing of the Leo-Record has an IP65 ingress protection rating allowing it to be used outdoors if necessary: and there is an optional rubber boot protective cover to prevent damage to the measurement instrument if dropped.
