Stem Drive installs Fluidic Mixer at Dalmuir WTW
Stem Drive has installed a fluidic mixer in sludge storage tanks at Dalmuir WTW in Scotland.
The Fluidic Mixer ensures the delivery of sludge of a consistent nature to the centrifuge plants.
It employs low pressure air as the primer power source and has no moving parts.
It can be applied to stirring, transporting, elevating and mixing a range of fluids and semi-solids.
In the Fluidic Mixer a primary stream of fluid (the power sources) is used to induce linear and angular motion to a secondary fluid (the material to be mixed or moved).
The motion induced in this secondary fluid is created by an array of jets operating in an annulus within the Fluidic Mixer.
The primary power stream can be either air or gas (normally low pressure) or a liquid, and the material to be moved can be a liquid, solid or a combination.
The Fluidic Mixer can be manufactured in various materials and is suitable for use in hazardous environments.
The driver is energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
Other waste water and waste uses include mixing of sludge tanks into slurry prior to emptying and the blending of lime into waste for pH adjustment.
The Fluidic Mixer can be installed into waste systems without cleaning or emptying of tanks.
