Severn Trent Metering Services has launched an improved website The previous website has been updated to provide visitors more extensive information about SmartMeter water meters, boundary boxes and metering services, in addition to offering a valuable resource for customers wishing to understand more about intelligent metering and related industry topics

The website now includes information about water meter regulations, government approvals, information on the SmartMeter family of fluidic oscillation water meters and media coverage of intelligent water metering.

Visitors can find details on SmartMeter distributors in their country as well as order trial meters through the company's on-line service.

The site "Trial Meter" page enables visitors to view meters by region so that only products with relevant approvals and specifications are listed.

Visitors can register for the SmartMeter newsletter, a quarterly publication that provides the latest news and developments from Severn Trent Metering Services, industry news and frequently asked questions about intelligent metering.

SmartMeter water meters address the increased demand for water meter accuracy, dependability and cost efficiency.

The presence of air in water systems does not affect SmartMeter accuracy because the fluidic oscillation technology measures only the flow of water.

With no moving parts, the meters are not affected by the wear and subsequent accuracy problems that are caused by grit and particulates.

Pre-installed meters in boundary boxes expedite the installation process and ensure that the meter does not sustain damage that can occur during installation due to grit and particulates.
