SIG Pack Systems celebrates record-breaking 2002

A Sigpack Systems product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Apr 14, 2003

Despite global concerns of a recession, SIG Pack Systems has announced a record turnover for the year ending 2002 of 252 million CHF (approximately GBP120 million)

The Swiss-based supplier of fully automated, high performance, packaging solutions saw its sales rise by around 20% over 2001.

Largely responsible for the rise has been the market response to the new Systegra packaging system.

Systegra provides a new generation of controls, integrating motion and logic into one system and the installation of new Systegra multi-leg lines accounted for around 50% of turnover in 2002.

SIG Pack Systems also benefited from increased market penetration in the key area of pharmaceutical packaging where orders rose by 50% over 2001.

Bright news for the UK economy is shown by the fact that just over 25% of the company orders in 2002 came from UK companies.
