Sigpack Systems bring automation to Burgopak

Sigpack Systems, a Bosch Packaging Technology Company, and Burgopak have together developed a new packaging line.

The system concept is suitable for a multitude of packaging formats, and applications would include pharmaceutical, luxury and consumer goods.

Burgopak packaging design employs a patented operating system that presents the product in a sliding tray.

This innovative packaging is simple to handle, and is particularly functional in terms of added value marketing.

It is especially suitable for pills and capsules in blister packs, but the style has been used to package mobile phones, CDs, DVDs, SIM cards, other electronic articles, and promotional items.

Ergonomics and manageability, as well as customer and product safety are key characteristics of this type of packaging.

Due to high demand - more than 15 million units have already been hand assembled - existing market trends and product requirements in the pharmaceutical industry, Burgopak decided to automate the production.

Burgopak commissioned Sigpack Systems to design and construct the first machine for high speed production of Burgopak packaging.
