New Simotion C240 motion control module
Siemens Automation and Drives is adding the Simotion C240 to its range of motion control modules: this new controller can co-ordinate up to 32 axes via Profibus with the Profidrive profile
The retained data and work memory capacities have been expanded to 100 KB and 20 MB respectively The Simotion C240 has four encoders and four analogue interfaces for connecting analogue drive units or stepper drives with pulse/direction interface
This makes the controller especially suitable for retrofit projects.
It can be expanded with I/O modules from the Simatic S7 range and offers optimal adaptation to the automation task in hand.
The Simotion C240 is compatible with the C230-2 controller with regard to interfaces and installation.
