The Simatic CPU S7-412-3H is a newly developed controller for high-availability, safe and fault-tolerant applications in the process industry

The new unit complements the range of products of the Simatic-S7-400H family of controllers in the lower performance range, and is suitable for applications involving high-availability functions for monitoring and closed-loop control of temperatures, liquid levels and emergency power generators as well as safe, fault-tolerant solutions with maximum safety integrity levels up to SIL 3, for example for burners Safety functions can be added with the S7F Systems software package

The safety functions are parameterised by the user in CFCs (Continuous Function Charts) by means of function blocks provided or using cause and effect methods in the Simatic Safety Matrix, the safety lifecycle tool.

As with all controllers of the S7-400H family, standard and safety functions can be combined in the controller and on the I/O level in the case of the S7-412H as well.
