To meet increased demand for its range of data loggers, Tewkesbury based Status Instruments have established a separate Signatrol division.

The new division is headed up by Brian Turner and Martin Westover, who, together, have over 25 years experience in data logging and instrumentation.

Managing director Brian Turner is very upbeat about the future and as he points out: "Issues such as increased legislation and public awareness of safety and hygiene are creating exciting possibilities, especially in the food, medical and pharmaceutical markets.

This expansion will give us the opportunity to focus our attention on the tremendous growth potential for our products in these sectors".

At the heart of the Signatrol range are the SL120 and 150 series of portable temperature logging tags.

These are already used extensively by leading supermarket chains, logistics companies, food processors, hospitals and the armed forces.

The SL150 tag is made from Food Grade Polystyrene and has a unique crevice-free construction that cannot harbour bacteria.

As a result it is the only temperature data logger approved and certified by the Royal Institute of Public Health.
