GaoTian Cement also installed Sitrans LR 400 units on their homogenising, clinker storage, kiln dust and finished cement silos at their new, highly productive, pollutant-free plant located on the Qinghai-Tibet Altiplano in Tibet.
The LR 400 has won the favour and trust of cement firms in China and in many other countries because of its ability to measure reliably through the dusty applications of a cement plant.
The latest release of the Sitrans LR 400 level radar transmitter represents a breakthrough in continuous level measurement for dusty solids such as cement, fly-ash, flour, grain, and plastics powder.

The newly designed Easy Aimer, now a standard feature, makes installation and orientation of the device simpler, and improves the signal on sloped solids surfaces.
It allows proper orientation of the beam without removing the device from the process.
In addition, the antenna system has been re-designed for lower loss and improved gain, thus increasing the signal to noise ratio.
The Sitrans LR 400 4-wire power and 24 GHz frequency-modulated, continuous wave (FMCW) radar technology ensures superior performance for long-range measurement up to 50m (164 ft), even through extreme dust or in applications with low dielectric liquids such as solvents, petrochemicals, oils or LPG (liquefied petroleum gas).
Advanced echo processing means the Sitrans LR 400 is unaffected by obstructions and automatically responds to changing vessel conditions.
The result is repeatable, fast, and reliable measurement.
The Sitrans LR 400 features a rugged, industrial, aluminium enclosure and robust screw terminals with ample room for wiring.
Operating in extreme conditions, Sitrans LR 400 offers a 200C (392F) temperature rating as standard with an option to 250C (482F).
