Sixnet, one of the world's leading manufacturers of industrial Ethernet products, introduces the new 16 and 18-port Ethernet managed switches, the most compact high port count switches on the market

Sixnet, one of the world's leading manufacturers of industrial Ethernet products, is pleased to introduce the new 16 and 18-port Ethernet managed switches, the most compact high port count switches on the market.

The ET-16MS offers 16 auto-detecting 10/100 ports that support auto-negotiating (10/100 or 10/100/1000), auto-crossover and auto-polarity for plug and play connections.

The ET-18MG has these same ports plus 2 Gigabit combination ports that support copper and fiber connections up to 80+ km.

These new products share the same compact footprint as Sixnet ET-9MS and ET-9MG Industrial Ethernet Switches.

Open-source Linux capabilities and tools are combined with real-time network management functions to enhance the performance of these switches.

They offer secure and optimised performance with RSTP (rapid spanning tree protocol) for fast redundant rings.

Even after a break in a communications pathway, messages will be delivered.

Sixnet managed switches can even detect and report network problems before they seriously affect network operations.

Other advanced features include VLANs, RMON, IGMP, SNMP and Qos/CoS.

Sixnet managed switches offer advanced security with HTTPS, SSH, SNMPv3 and more.

From the sweltering summers in Shenzhen, China to the subzero winter in Alberta, Canada, Sixnet products are the ideal ruggedised industrial solution.

Unlike office-grade switches that are intended only for use in air-conditioned offices, Sixnet Ethernet switches are designed to survive those extreme locations.

They have full industrial ratings, including a wide operating temperature range (-40 to +75 C), Zone 2 hazardous locations, marine, offshore and more.

They have also proven themselves in military applications such as in LAVs, ships and aircraft.

With their twenty-year support and service policy, free field-installable upgrades, and over one million hours of uptime (MTBF), you can always be assured of the reliable quality solutions your projects demand.
