Fault-tolerant industrial Ethernet breakthrough

A Sixnet product story

Sixnet announces EtherTrak-2 a reliable, redundant Ethernet-based I/O system providing the flexibility, functionality and performance which will more than satisfy the automation industry

Extra-ordinary features such as web-based I/O configuration and monitoring, self-calibrating analogue I/O, the ability to store project documentation in a quick-access web server, OEM customisable components and labeling will make your job easier.

Sixnet has bundled 30 years of I/O technology innovation into this upscale, highly capable product.

The EtherTrak-2 has distinctive packaging; the compact and functional enclosure integrates the many unique features of this innovative product into the ideal "process quality" I/O subsystem.

No tools required, a "snap" locks the module securely into its wiring base.

Hot Swap capability makes it quick and easy to plug in and remove the module in live systems minimising downtime.

Versatile SlimLine packaging saves space and the vertical orientation forms a modular rack-style mounting ideal for in-plant systems with large I/O counts.

Advanced functionality and abundance of communications options makes EtherTrak-2 perfect for distributed systems, enabling you to use the same I/O system for distributed and in-plant installations.

Redundant wiring can be used; two power inputs provide a means to install a second power source ensuring continuous I/O module operation.

Uninterruptible power protection is the most innovative idea, supplying backup power from a central location to each distributed Etherbus I/O module using a single Etherbus fieldbus cable.

The Etherbus PoE supply feature will keep the module communicating and powering critical instrumentation during a power failure.

EtherTrak-2 has dual Ethernet ports, RS483 and USB, each port has MAC and IP addresses allowing two module connections to independent networks providing more configurations and flexibility.

A Real-time Ring switch passes Ethernet traffic between the two ports permitting you to daisy chain without external switches.

Connecting the last device back to the first forms a real-time ring, creating redundant Ethernet reliability.

The operating temperature range is -40 to 75C (-40 to 85C storage) and EtherTrak-2 modules are ISO9001, CUL, UL DNV, CE, FCC and RoHS rated to assure their long term performance.
