Mobile check kit for water and wastewater metering

A Siemens Process Instrumentation product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Jul 15, 2008

Designed for the water and wastewater industry, Siemens has developed an all-inclusive kit to test the accuracy and performance of flowmeters of any brand or type

The Sitrans FUP1010 flowmeter is suitable for water and wastewaster pipes ranging from 25.4 millimetres to 9.14 metres (1-360 inches).

The meter is able to measure both conductive and non-conductive clean or moderately aerated liquids and even liquids with suspended solids.

This basic feature makes the flowmeter very versatile in that it can verify the performance of meters based on any existing flow measurement principle: electromagnetic, ultrasonic, orifice, rotary piston, coriolis etc.

Furthermore due to its widebeam measurement principle, the Sitrans FUP1010 is able to handle heavily aerated flows.

The batteries of the flowmeter are good for four hours of normal operation and are recharged in one hour quick charge.

The one Megabyte datalogger enables report and statistics download to PC via the included RS232 cable.

The kit comes in a weatherproof and sturdy rolling case with a telescope handle.

The case holds all the equipment including cables, multiple transducers and the clamp-on ultrasonic flow computer Sitrans FUP1010.
