SKF Engineering Products now invites engineers to build their own positioning actuators using its CAPR 43 modular system.

Recognising that even relatively simple linear motion applications all have different mechanical, load or space requirements, these modular actuators are easy to specify to the exact needs of the engineer.

For example, different motors, front or rear attachment, stroke lengths and speeds can all be specified.

Positioning accuracy and long service life has been ensured by using a method that detects position directly on the moving nut, thereby keeping moving parts to a minimum and reducing scope for error.

Stroke lengths are from 50 - 700mm, loads are from 2000N to 4000N and speeds up to 33mm/sec.

Linearity is 5% and an analogue feedback positioning system can be supplied.

Supply voltage is typically 24VDC with other options available.

An IP65 version of each actuator is available.
