SKF Y-bearing units designed to take the heat
The latest generation of Y-bearing units for extreme temperatures from SKF are optimising productivity and minimising costs in a diverse variety of industrial applications
The 292 gramme unit, which supports Operator Driven Reliability (ODR) programs, will allow machine operators and other plant personnel to collect, store and analyse machine vibration and process data.
The device's colour screen allows users to clearly view charts, numbers, superscripts, exponents and other symbols, even in dimly lit areas.
The upgraded screen is available in standard and "non-incendive" varieties.
The standard unit is designated CMDM 5100P, while the "non-incendive" version, designated CMDM 5101P, meets special safety requirements for petrochemical environments.
The Marlin Pocket Pro data manager facilitates in-the-field trending of machine conditions, comparisons of baseline measurements with previous readings and alarm notifications.
A 'user notes' feature allows operators to record immediate impressions of troublesome machine conditions, which can then be uploaded to a host PC.
The data manager comes standard with Microsoft Pocket Word, Pocket Excel and Internet Explorer software programs.
Companion programs, such as Machine Analyst and Machine Inspector, facilitate in-depth analysis of machine operations and data sharing among different plant departments.
The new unit is part of a complete family of solutions from SKF for improving machine and process availability.
These include hand-held Marlin data managers, Microlog data collectors/analysers, reliability software programs, and accessories such as machine sensors and infrared temperature guns. Request a free brochure from SKF UK ...
