Tankered domestic waste load monitoring system
Solartron Mobrey, leading manufacturer of measurement and control sensors, with Meteor Communications Europe, provides an innovative water industry solution for measuring tankered domestic waste
Primarily designed for use on steam boilers, the Erab system is installed in a wide variety of liquid level applications in open and pressurised or unpressurised closed vessels, such as condensate tanks, hot water boilers and feedwater tanks.
Erab is also used in various applications within the process industry for level indication and modulation, high-integrity self-monitoring low/high level alarm, and pump control.
The comprehensive range of level measurement probes and measurement and control electronics within the Erab family provides designers with the flexibility to create economical systems ranging from a simple level control system to full Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) compliant low water control and alarm system for an unmanned boiler.

The Erab capacitive probe and control unit give a continuous 4-20mA measurement of water level and can be used for monitoring, logging, alarm generation and for level control using modulating valves or feedwater pumps.
Alternatively, the capacitive probe is available with a 24V control unit mounted directly on it, providing a compact solution particularly suitable for marine applications.
The capacitive level probe can be packaged with one or more conductive probes, reducing the number of boiler entry points required (for steam boilers a separate low level probe must also be fitted).
All probes in the Erab family are easy to install and can withstand pressures and temperatures up to 32 Bar and 250C.
The range of electronic controllers provides comprehensive facilities ranging from simple level and pump control to PED compliant, high integrity, self-monitoring safety protection for unmanned steam boilers.
Erab is compliant with all major boiler standards, including the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), Health and Safety PM5, SAFed PSG2, BS prEN12953-6 and prEN112592-9.
It is also certified by TUV for use in accordance with TRD604 and approved for marine applications by Lloyds and other qualifying authorities.
