Samco Silicone Products now offers an increased range of extruded and moulded silicone rubber and sponge products specifically developed to meet 'environmentally challenging' lighting industry requirements, including seals and gaskets.

Compounds have been developed to provide high and low temperature stability covering -50 to +300C, high dielectric strength up to 30kV and the long-life properties needed to satisfy the most demanding applications.

Originally developed to meet the strict standards of the Eurotunnel project, the IP classified materials are UV and ozone stable and meet UL 94 VO/1 fire retardant and low smoke classification.

High or low volume production or prototype mouldings, extrusions, cut gaskets and vulcanised joint O-rings or mitred corner 'picture frame' gaskets are offered manufactured to user specifications.

A choice of 40 to 80 shore silicone rubber or varying density sponge is available, matched to RAL colours if required.

Special solutions are offered to lighting requirements for mass transit, street and MOD naval and army markets as well as interior lamp design.

FDA approved materials are also available for pharmaceutical/medical and food contact areas.
