Small pump package delivers big performance
The Micropump innovative I-Drive electromagnetic drive has been developed to meet the increasing demands from OEM engineers and machine builders who require high performance from less space
The challenge for Micropump was to develop a pump unit, up to 20% smaller, without sacrificing power or capacity and this has been achieved through a combination of innovative design and new features.
For example, the use of over-moulded NdFeB magnets, the latest surface mount technology and an enhanced heat-sink, results in a smaller, more reliable, better performing pump and drive assembly.
The new I-Drive combines a pumphead, a brushless DC motor and an electronic controller into a single, compact unit providing outstanding functionality and smooth, pulseless flows.
The patented design with a choice of 40W or 70W motors, drive the pump electromagnetically eliminating all physical contact with the motor to ensure outstanding service life because there are no moving parts.
The thermal and overload protected electronic controller provides variable speed drive options of 0-5 VDC, 4-20 mA remote control signal, or local manual control.
Mounting options include a motor flange attachment or a removable bracket.
The I-Drive is available in standard or custom OEM configurations with flow rates up to 3.2 lit/min at differential pressures up to 7 bar.
The simplicity of the built-in speed control and the tachometer output signal allows easy integration into PLC or PC controlled systems or end-user installations.
